Norman over at SymbianWorld has published a review of the Nokia E66. You can find the review here

“To sum up, the E66 offers everything from a 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, great business features and a lot more – and all this under a sexy and handy hood. However, the camera didn’t convicted me at all but maybe this will be fixed soon. I just can recommend the E66 if you need a device which can solve every task, but not perfectly. If you look for a similar device you should take a look at the N78, E71 or 6220 Classic (without WiFi).”

The original cross-platform video game about video games, Reset Generation by Nokia Games Publishing, is now available on N-Gage. The objective is simple – rescue the princess. Players begin by choosing a hero from ten designs by celebrity artists, representing the pantheon of video game history and each with its own unique superpower. Players then either conquer the game in 18 single-player story missions or compete with up to four players online. The last princess standing wins!

“Reset Generation is a groundbreaking new game for the N-Gage platform,” said Dr Mark Ollila, Head of Games Publishing, Nokia. “This title showcases the commitment that Nokia has to publishing innovative games and we are proud to be pioneering new original content for consumers.”“A homage to all things fun in video games, the highly anticipated Reset Generation is unlike anything seen before,” continued Scott Foe, Producer, Nokia. “No pixel was left behind and no sound was spared. If you grew up playing video games, you will be especially fond of this title.”Players can also enjoy seamless multiplayer action between mobile and PC. On PC, the game is free to play and is available as an embeddable web widget and as downloadable content with N-Gage compatible devices. The mobile version sold through Nokia channels will cost around 10-12 EUR depending on local taxes and can be bought with a credit card or charged to an operator subscription where operator billing is available.Reset Generation is developed by Finland-based RedLynx of Pathway to Glory fame. The soundtrack was composed and performed by Los Angeles-based chiptune band 8 Bit Weapon using old video game machines as instruments.More information about Reset Generation can be found at http://www.n-gage.com and http://www.resetgeneration.com

The guys over at all about symbian has published a hands-on preview of Samsung innov8 with 8 mega pixel camera. You can find the preview here

“The INNOV8 may not seem as if it has any major innovations, but it is the first S60 device with an 8 megapixel camera and manages to pack in a host of other hardware and features – it is right at the top of the current generation of phone technology. Previous Samsung S60 devices like the i550 and G810 felt like they were catching up with Nseries devices already on the market. By contrast the INNOV8, which should ship before the N96, will be putting a nose in front. One of the things that struck me most about the INNOV8 is how quickly Samsung have evolved their S60 phones. The difference between the i520 and the INNOV8 is enormous. I suspect that, as we move into 2009, we’re going to see a lot more competition between Nokia and Samsung in the S60 space – and that can only be good for consumers. It is impossible to provide a full assessment of a high device like the INNOV8 after an afternoon of hands-on time, but hopefully we’ve been able to give you a taste of this very impressive device. It should be out in the market by September and we’ll be revisiting the device before then in production hardware form, in a full multi-part review. The INNOV8 looks set to become one of the most desirable phones for the second half of 2008 – apparently Steve’s beloved N95 8GB is already quaking in its case…”

At last a couple of new pictures of Nokia N96. What I do not understand is why Nokia chose to send with a Nokia BL-5F battery (950mAh battery that came with the Nokia N95-1) instead of a 1200mAh battery that Nokia N95-8GB has . Another thing that disturbs me is that they didnt add a Xeon flash. Instead, Nokia chose to add 2 LED lamps :/

Both themes are compatible with all S60 3rd Edition and FP1 devices.

I recently received a device from Nokia/WOM World for trialling along with an MD-4 speaker set and a HB-703 headset – and I’ve got to say that the initial excitement moving over form an N95 classic to a N78 was amazing (note the bold type). Thing is, compared to the clumsy build of the N95 with all those shakes and wobbles moving over to the N78 was like trading a Ford POS for a Rolls-Royce. And the Symbian S60 3rd Feature Pack 2 that comes with it makes it all the more elegant. The difference is so much that it makes you feel that the N95s operating system was just a hurried pack-up of some features lying around..

Here is another version of the recently announced W595 walkman device. This was supposed to be the Orange branded handset of W595. The phone looks really ugly. Thankfully this device has been cancelled.
